sun opposes neptune

there’s a lot of bubbly Mutable energy tangling in the air today!  we may have difficulty fixing our goals in one place, as Mutable energy implies flexibility, spontaneity and dialogue.

but which way are we going?  it may be hard to find clarity today if you have significant Mutable placements in your chart (Sun, Moon, Mercury).  The Mutable signs are Virgo, Pisces, Sagittarius and Gemini.

with the Sun in Virgo reaching opposition to Neptune Rx in Pisces,  we’re dealing with a lot of baggage around our ideals, our fantasies…and the real nitty-gritty of life.  there’s indecision and existential malaise when the Sun + Neptune don’t get along. we might be questioning major life choices today.

when will we realize that life doesn’t have to conform to our fantasies?  we can make the best of what we’re given without losing ourselves in self-recriminations and judgment?  we have to stay positive, look for alternative routes, and keep believing in ourselves.  

Meanwhile Venus in tactful Virgo squares Mars in Gemini at 2.49pm ET.  Mars in Gemini embraces moving in a billion different directions at once - everything seems shiny to our short attention span.  Mars in Gemini inspires us to debate all our plans ad nauseam, never committing to any one of them. Venus in Virgo comes in with prissy judgment, telling us it’s unseemly to be that disorganized & uncommitted.   Perhaps that critical eye of Virgo can help us weed out some of the ill-founded ideas that have crept onto our to-do list.  Virgo helps us realize that time is a limited resource — so make some judicious cuts and move ON!

 later, Venus in Virgo harmonizes with the Moon’s Nodes (now in Taurus and Scorpio), soothing our anxiety a bit and calming the frenetic mental energy.  indeed, those with strong Fixed sign energy in their chart will do best today (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius).  We look to these self-assured signs to teach us how to play with options…without getting derailed from our life purpose (or dharma) by every shiny object.
