19 feb: pisces season begins

the Sun enters pisces at 5.18pm ET today, staying in the sign of spirituality, intuition, and mysticism until March 20th.

Pisces season is about being receptive, letting go of all that hard-driving, masculine energy (which any human can have), and synthesizing all the learnings of this astrological year.

at this moment of the energetic cycle, we may want to unplug from the rat race. We have had enough of exciting the mind and punishing the body: now we are going within, integrating all our experiences.  in Pisces, we tap into culmination + essence.

we are called to silence our chattering, calm the mind, and tap into intuition.

look to your natal chart and find where Pisces energy resides for you (which House) - that is where you will need to tap into greater mysticism and spirituality.

as the final sign of the zodiac, Pisces represents death and also the reincarnation from death.  pisces is the place of infinity, where yin + yang merge; boundaries dissolve - enlightenment becomes possible.

in yoga lore, Matsyendra, the Lord of the Fishes,  was the baby swallowed by a fish. While in the fish, Matsyendra heard Lord Shiva’s spiritual teachings…upon which he practiced yoga inside the fish for 12 yrs and emerged as a sage.

In Kabbalah, Jewish mysticism, the fish is the reincarnation of an enlightened soul and lives beyond mercy & judgment.  The Fish is believed to protect us from Evil Eye (Ayin Hara).

up until 325 AD, In early Christianity, the fish was seen as a symbol of Jesus Christ (“the fisher of men”).
