mercury retrograde in libra

Mercury retrograde in Libra officially begins tonight at 11.38pm ET, and lasts until October 2nd.

Taking place as it does, in perceptive, socially adept Libra. 

this Mercury Rx turns our attention toward our relationships, how we think about them, how we communicate (Mercury’s realm!) within them.

Retrograde periods signify an invitation to reflect & review.  Libra pertains to all our interactions - with family, friends and lovers.  Ergo, Mercury Rx in Libra wants us to reflect around how we connect with others.

 Are we in the right relationships…what roles do we play toward our social groups — both the close ones and the more extended ones?

we’ve got 3 weeks to explore these themes.  try not to slip into old enabling relationship patterns; set boundaries with people who have demonstrated their untrustworthiness.  Libra energy can sometimes be too accommodating or indecisive in order to avoid confrontation: this approach just adds to the ultimate damage that eventually emerges.  

a small bit of courage or speaking out now could help us to avoid a total relationship fall-out or ghosting situation later.  

as always, lean into your meditation & yoga practice now.  chanting and Reiki to the Vishuddha chakra (throat chakra) can facilitate speaking up and standing your ground. old alliances & faces from the past may re-emerge during this period.

the Moon entered Pisces at 12.44am ET, adding a dreamy, creative haze to our day. we may indulge in a bit of denial regarding the struggles in our lives, thinking all will resolve itself magically without any effort on our part…perhaps if we believe strongly enough, it will!  then again, Pisces Moon could find us dissolving into a puddle of depressed inertia, expecting a savior to swoop in and take all our troubles away.  The Moon squares Mars and opposes Venus, adding to turbulent emotions and indecision about which direction to take.  the Moon is building toward a Full Moon in Pisces tomorrow.
