earthy love: venus in virgo

The Earth sign energies in the heavens today may persuade us that the party is already over. 

Venus has joined the Sun in Virgo.  Venus will stay in the clear-headed, communicative sign until September 29th, causing us to prioritize discipline, efficiency and status.  Virgo has no patience for sloppiness or anything crass; Venus’ sojourn here might make us more reserved and polite.  But contrary to popular perception, Virgo its not priggish; in fact, Venus in Virgo might inspire us to use sex as a means to gain status and political clout in our social circles.  Unlike Leo, Virgo has less of a need to be admired/worshipped, and more of a need to ascend socially.  We will fall for those who make us feel like we can get ahead with an idea, a mission, or a way of life.  Sex could be used as a negotiation tool. 

Venus in Virgo takes pleasure in hard work, discipline, and consistent effort.  In contrast to Capricorn, Virgo tends to be more social and flexible (that’s the Mutable aspect), but perhaps slightly more critical/judgmental of others (and themselves).  If we can release a bit of that tendency toward exactitude, we can experience enhanced joy, without loosening the reins too much. 

Virgo & Capricorn both know how to stick to a goal and stay disciplined.  But if we lose our spirit in excessive comparisons or self-censoring, we may edit ourselves out before we get to our goal.🤦🏻‍♀️

In the US, we’re celebrating Labor Day, a very Virgo-esque kind of holiday (read: work hard to get ahead!). The vibes of the day might inspire you to get started on your to-do list, even though it’s technically a day off!  

Virgo is Mutable Earth, Capricorn is Cardinal Earth - together, these signs will help us to collaborate and plan toward our goals.  Just be careful of playing things too safely or sticking to the conventional things that you already know…dare yourself to color outside the lines and innovate a bit!

Later today, the conservative Capricorn Moon squares Jupiter in Aries, making us feel conflicted: Do we play it safe or continue to Live Large, haters be damned?
