mercury in leo opposes saturn in aquarius

mercury in leo opposes saturn in aquarius today at 2.05am ET, arousing turmoil in our thinking and communications.

that’s because mercury is now in leo, suggesting that we want to be expressive and creative…we want to be respected while we break out from the crowd in flamboyant ways.

*however*

saturn, the planet of limits & restrictions, is now retrograde in aquarius.  as it forms an opposition to mercury in leo, we may find that others seem to want to silence us, or to tone down the ‘extra’. 

saturn has traditionally be linked to authority figures, suggesting that the need to be playful (leo) clashes with others’ more grown-up expectations & rules.

our perceptions about how we are expected to behave and present ourselves to society could therefore be weighing on us, causing us to grow irritable or even to snap at others  now, in a misguided attempt to defend our egos.

meanwhile venus in intuitive cancer clashes with chiron retrograde in aries.  some aggressive moves may be in store if we feel we need to defend ourselves and stop history from repeating itself (ie wounds of the past may be prompting us to act defensively).

on the positive side, the sun in leo harmonizes with generous jupiter, encouraging us to give others the benefit of the doubt (you can at least go off and “do you” until others come out of their funk).

finally, the moon in rational virgo may give us a chance to stay detached + analytical, moving beyond any temporary hurt feelings so that we can work things out step by step.
